Deposit and Refund Policy
DEPOSITS
A deposit is considered a safeguard which protects both parties entering into a contract.
In the case of a wedding, it protects the bridal couple by securing their desired date and time for the ceremony and ensures that the minister will not double book.
As for the minister, it is security against cancellation for frivolous reasons or the bridal couple just not showing up at the appointed place and time, thereby leaving the minister in the position of having lost time and funds spent on creating the ceremony, traveling to the venue, and not being able to recoup the losses by offering the date and time to another couple.
A deposit that will be applied shall be 50% of the total fee for the wedding, and being not less than $100.
The deposit amount is applied to the total fee agreed upon by the bridal couple and the minister.
DEPOSIT REFUND POLICY
The deposit is non-refundable except:
When the contract is cancelled and notice given to the minister within 3 days of signing, 100% of the deposit is refunded.
In a case where the vendor is incapacitated and or unable to fulfill her obligation and cannot provide a substitute minister, 100% of the deposit is refunded.
In a case where the Bride and Groom are medically incapacitated, 75% of the deposit is refunded upon receipt of a letter from their medical professional.
In a case where another couple book their wedding on the same date and time to replace the cancelled wedding, 50% of the deposit is refunded to the couple cancelling their wedding.
In a case where the bridal couple is entoxicated or under the influence of controlled substances, the minister has the right to cancel the wedding and no refund is given. If the couple reschedules their wedding date and time, at the disgression of the minister, the wedding will be rescheduled and an additional time and travel fee will be added to the balance due to be paid in cash before the rescheduled date.
In a case where the Bride and Groom back out and decide to cancel after the 3-day "cooling off period" and do not agree upon an alternate date (if available), no refund shall be given.
